WHAT TO EXPECT:

We Strive to keep kids happy and blossoming all summer so our camp curriculum includes, socializing, planning, crafting and many hands on experiences. The Academy building allows us to utilize the Turf area. Group games and activities ae to be expected. Occasionally we might use this as a “recess” type time to help us set up for our next activity. We also plan on taking many walks to the park on Kent Street for Art in the Park. Outside activities would include open ended art activities such as chalk painting, squirt gun painting, shadow art, and TONS of water play! There will be time everyday for children to explore their own ideas with whatever materials they choose.

REFUND/CANCELLATION:

Due to the high cost of materials being ordered to accommodate each participate, reservations are non-refundable without a 72 hour notice.

Registration for camp is forfeited for any unattended days. Should your child become ill and cannot attend his/her registered days, he/she is permitted to reschedule within 2 weeks of the day or days missed providing the Camp Week IS NOT SOLD OUT.

The Maker’s Nook requires a minimum registration of 3 artists for Half Day Camps and 3 artists for Full Day Camps. Should the minimum requirement not be met, parents will be notified and a refund or credit to your account will be given.

The Makers Nook Art Camp is a mixed media/mixed age camp for children ages 4 to 11 years old.

All camps are drop off for a mixed age group of 4-11. The mixed age format works very well during the summer given the low student:teacher ratio. We limit our class sizes to 15 artist. Artists might all work with the same materials (such as water colors, recycled materials, chalk pastels, or paint) but the projects and/ or techniques are modified for ages as needed to ensure that all artists are learning, being challenged and enjoying their project.

DISCOUNTS:

We offer a 10% sibling discount.
